Living in Colorado’s first multi-family building that earned a new wellness certification markedly improved residents’ satisfaction, health, well-being, and happiness, according to a three-year case study conducted by CSU researchers. Lakehouse in the Sloan’s Lake area of Denver earned WELL Building Certification at the Gold level in 2020 and sold all residences by June 2022.
When he arrived at San Diego State University, Mario Garcia (B.S., ’23) was ready to enter a career in cybersecurity. But when COVID hit, a career spent in front of a computer screen became far less appealing. That’s when Garcia decided to transfer to CSU and pursue a degree and career in health and exercise sciences, which ultimately landed him an internship with the LA Dodgers.
One CSU graduate helps keep chicken cells “happy,” while the other aims to make consumers satisfied when they eat lab-grown chicken. Jessica Joslin and Daniel Davila both work for UPSIDE Foods, which earned the USDA approval to produce and offer cell-cultivated chicken to restaurants and shoppers.
