Cecelia Schmitt is a February 2023 KRNC Student Spotlight!

Cecelia is from a tiny town in northern Michigan! Her dad grew up in Colorado and she has been in Fort Collins for the last few months and loving the mountain life!

She finished her final rotation for her dietetic internship with the KRNC. This is one of the last steps in her education journey before she hits the real world.

Her personal interest areas are primarily in clinical nutrition as she loves learning about how the body works and what happens when it stops working. Medical nutrition therapy was her favorite class in college, and she really enjoyed her internship rotations in the hospital.

Her current career plans include pursuing a clinical position as a traveling dietitian! She loves exploring new places and this is the perfect opportunity to do that (and get paid at the same time!).

Cecelia remarks: “I have loved my time working with KRNC and appreciate the clients that let me sit in on appointments. My favorite experiences have been preparing for and hosting the cooking classes, as I also love being in a kitchen and working with food.”
