This spring, Colorado State University’s Department of Design and Merchandising is thrilled to announce its highly anticipated annual fashion show with the theme of Walk the Kaleidoscope. Scheduled on May 3, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. in the Lory Student Center Grand Ballroom, this vibrant showcase promises an evening where fashion transcends into a multidimensional journey of color, texture, culture, and innovation.

Walk the Kaleidoscope invites attendees to experience fashion’s dynamic and transformative power through the eyes of CSU’s student talents. This year, 17 signature capstone collections will come alive; each is a testament to our talented designers’ creativity, dedication, and passion. Each collection’s styles, designs, and inspirations offer a fresh perspective on the transformative power of fashion design.

Inspired by a kaleidoscope’s ever-changing colors and complexity, Walk the Kaleidoscope is more than a fashion show; it celebrates fashion’s diverse and evolving nature. These emerging designers have poured their hearts and souls into creating collections that reflect their unique experiences and perspectives, making this event a profoundly personal reflection of their journey into the world of fashion design.

Student tickets are $20 (valid student ID is required), general admission is $30, and VIP tickets are $75. VIP attendees will enjoy an exclusive pre-show reception from 5-7 p.m. with food and beverages provided, offering an intimate perspective into the inspirations behind the curtain. Tickets are available to purchase through the Lory Student Center Box Office. Follow along on the Design and Merchandising Fashion Show website or the @csufashionshow Instagram Page for more information and a look behind the scenes.

The fashion show is a demonstration of the hard work put in by the featured designers and the Fashion Show Production and Event Planning course, DM 474. The four committees involved in making this happen—Garment and Modeling, Promotions and Publicity, Stage and Set, VIP and Sponsorship—have collaborated throughout the Spring semester to design all details for a thrilling, kaleidoscopic evening.

Join us in celebrating the future of fashion design at Walk the Kaleidoscope. Let’s embark on this beautiful journey together.
