This year, CSU’s ASID student chapter will be recognized nationally as the organization’s student chapter of the year. This isn’t the first time CSU’s student chapter has received this honor. It was also recognized as chapter of the year in 2015, 2016, and 2017 making it the only student chapter to win the award more than once, and consecutively!
This year, five Colorado State University students in the apparel and merchandising major and concentrating in apparel design and production received a scholarship for their incredible work and research from Fashion Scholarship Fund: Krista Melusky, Graeme MacInnis, Caroline Floyd, Cecilia Kastner, and Latifah Hirchi-Vogl.

Alea Schmidt has been awarded a scholarship from the Interior Design Educators Council Foundation to continue her research at Colorado State University and experience mentorship in becoming an interior design educator.

Jared Tarzian never thought he would attend Colorado State University, but it was the apparel and merchandising major and product development concentration in the Department of Design and Merchandising that eventually won him over.
Each year, the CSU College of Health and Human Sciences recognizes a graduating senior for their outstanding academic achievement and leadership. This year, Department of Design and Merchandising student Sara Bovaird has been selected to receive the Outstanding Senior award.
CSU's Design and Merchandising Fashion Show is springing back to life as an in-person celebration. The presentation of the 2022 senior capstone portfolios is entitled “All in Bloom,” complete with a groovy, ’70s inspired theme. The show is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 6 in the stadium club room at Canvas Stadium.
