From the Dean - Lise Youngblade

A portrait of Lise YoungbladeHappy fall! In this issue of Dimensions, I invite you to learn about the exciting ways that College of Health and Human Sciences programs propel individual discovery and collective achievement – and how our alumni, faculty, and students fuel personal and community success.

Over the summer, experiences motivated learning, both on campus and far afield. Engaging camps and institutes inspired future designers, leaders, and healthy lifelong learners among the hundreds of K-12 students who visited Colorado State University. Our CHHS students applied their knowledge in internships, service learning, and international travel.

Now that fall semester is well underway, our newest Rams energize us as they forge routines and connections with peers, mentors, advisers, and faculty. Their paths around campus are adorned with the first autumn leaves that have begun to decorate campus for the green-and-gold festivities ahead.

On Oct. 4, our campus community will gather on CSU’s historic Oval for the annual Fall Address and University Picnic, during which the investiture ceremony for President Amy Parsons, CSU’s 16th president, will be held. The Oval will also host the start and finish of the 43rd Annual Homecoming 5K Race on Oct. 14. Scroll and click or tap to learn more about this year’s Homecoming festivities, along with ways we are advancing our Strategic Plan together.

I am grateful you are part of the CHHS Ramily! Please stay in touch, share your personal and professional updates, and let us know how you would like to be involved. Go Rams!
