School of Education alumna Jessica Teal (B.S. Family and Consumer Sciences, '16) always knew that she wanted to be a teacher. Now, as she enters her fifth year at Windsor High School, she is a well-versed educator who is dedicated to paying what she has learned forward.

Brittany Escamilla landed a job in Wyoming as a family and consumer sciences teacher and hopes to become an advocate by teaching a teen parenting class.
First-generation graduate Erin Bender credits her decision to become a Family and Consumer Sciences teacher to being in the right place at the right time. Now she looks forward to making an impact on high school students in Colorado Springs.
In recognition of her outstanding work with CSU’s Family and Consumer Sciences program, Dawn Mallette has been awarded the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America National Distinguished Service Award.
