For Kathryn Quintero, coming to CSU gave her an opportunity to find success as a first-generation student. Her many leadership roles led her to be recognized as an outstanding graduate from the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition’s Hospitality Management Program.
Peyton Woolverton’s passion for making a difference in people’s lives shows in his academics and work. An outstanding graduate in health and exercise science, he is graduating with magna cum laude distinction.
Jordan Acosta has balanced her role as a varsity athlete on the softball team with her success in a challenging academic program in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State University. Acosta has also been selected as the Outstanding Senior for CSU’s College of Health and Human Sciences.
Using social work research to advance equity in social work practice is a passion for CSU Master of Social Work graduate Quinn Grace Hafen (they/them). Hafen is the recipient of CSU's College of Health and Human Sciences Research Day award for Equity and Social Justice Category-Distinction in Graduate Research, as well as the CHHS Graduate Student Excellence in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Award.
Jeff Wagnaar (MSW, '20) has always had a passion for helping others. After a 30-year career as a physical therapist, this passion led him to return to school to earn his Master of Social Work from Colorado State University’s Distance MSW program.
Savannah Hobbs is a doctoral student graduating from the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. As a result of her academic and research success, Hobbs was recognized nationally with the Society for Nutrition Education and Behavior, Higher Education Division, Student Research Award for 2020.
