Cassie Poncelow, a school counselor at Poudre High School in Fort Collins, and fellow finalists for the national award were honored at a black-tie gala in Washington, D.C., in early February.
School of Education student Ariana Garcia's research into the experiences of first-generation students earned her the College of Health and Human Sciences’ Excellence in Research Scholarship Award at the 2017 Graduate Student Showcase.
Katrina Boschmann recently graduated from the School of Education’s Counseling and Career Development master’s degree program, a program she said helped her to add skills and knowledge that support her natural inclinations to help others.
