Recipe: Mango Papaya Salsa

This twist on traditional mango salsa from the Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center is great on top of fish, chicken, and steak. Or, simply enjoy it with chips.

Ingredients:

1 mango, peeled and flesh diced
1 papaya, peeled, seeded and diced
2 tablespoons diced red onion
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cracked black pepper
1/4 cup currants
1 tablespoon freshly chopped cilantro leaves

Directions: 

1. Add all the ingredients to a medium serving bowl.
2. Mix to combine.
3. Serve salsa and enjoy!
