KRNC Student Spotlight: Sydney Coons

Sydney Coons is the October 2022 KRNC Student Spotlight!

Sydney Coons is from Westminster, Co and is a senior in the Food Science and Human Nutrition department

Sydney is planning to start a dietetic internship and a master’s degree after graduating in of May 2023. She is interested in clinical dietetics, specifically working with patients requiring nutrition support, oncology, and gastrointestinal disorders. After gaining relevant experience, Sydney plans to obtain the Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) in hopes of pursuing roles that focus on nutrition support

Sydney remarks, “My favorite part about working at the KRNC is the opportunity to strengthen my counseling skills and learn from dietitians with a variety of counseling techniques.”

The Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center is a part of the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition in CSU’s College of Health and Human Sciences.
