Lacey Eaden is a February 2023 KRNC Student Spotlight!

Lacey is from Sarasota, FL, but moved to Fort Collins in 2019 to attend CSU. She just graduated from CSU with a degree in dietetics and nutrition management in May 2022.

She is completing her dietetic internship through the University of Northern Colorado. She has completed 6 out of the 9 months of her program!

She has gotten to experience a lot of areas of dietetics through her internship program. As of right now, she is really interested in outpatient counseling. Her specific areas of interest are sports nutrition, eating disorder recovery, and functional nutrition (specifically pertaining to gut health).

She is interested in quite a few areas, so she is not certain where she would like to work after her program. She thinks working in a gym setting where she can work on her outpatient counseling skills and build her sports nutrition knowledge base would be a great place to start. Eventually, she would love to have her own private practice

Lacey remarks: “I love shadowing the RDs because it allows me to build/refine my nutrition counseling knowledge base and techniques. I also love gathering resources & putting together sample meal plans for clients.”
