Hashem Alsaffar is a recent CSU graduate, with a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science. He is from Kuwait and has an interest in nutrition pertaining to chronic conditions and functional nutrition. Also, as a diabetic, he is interested in diabetic endurance athletes, specifically cyclists.

He is currently awaiting graduate school acceptance and/or may go back to Kuwait to start his professional endeavors gaining experience wherever available in order to open his own practice.

Alsaffar’s favorite parts about working at the Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center (KRNC) have been shadowing practicing dietitians with real patients, each with their own unique circumstances, working on a guide that will be referenced for future clients, and experiencing a simulation of a dietitian’s setting.
