Ellie is from Malaysia and has been living in Fort Collins for the last five years. She is currently a first year master’s student in the Food Science and Human Nutrition department and is finishing her second semester.

She is working towards being a Registered Dietitian with an interest in clinical dietetics to serve the maternal and pediatric population. Currently, Ellie is working towards becoming a certified lactation counselor. Ellie is also involved in Dr. Weir’s lab studying cricket chitin and its effect on IBS inflammation.

Ellie remarks, “I really appreciate the opportunities to shadow different dietitians and learn from them within the different realms of nutrition. It gives me a sense of what my future will look like too!”

The Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center is a part of the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition in CSU’s College of Health and Human Sciences.
