Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center Student Spotlight: Amanda Petro

Amanda Petro

Amanda is from Wisconsin, near Pine Creek—“a town famous for their meatballs,” she says. Amanda recently finished her work as a graduate student in the Nutrition Master’s program in Food Science and Human Nutrition here at CSU.

She will be starting her dietetic internship through the Coordinated Master’s Program in Dietetics at CSU this fall and then plans to obtain her RDN license, if she “doesn’t win the lottery first, that is,” she jokes.

Amanda is particularly interested in nutritional disease prevention and treatment, most likely through nutrition counseling.

Amanda says, “I like the Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center because they have a lot to offer the community and it’s extremely valuable how students are able to shadow the dietitians.”
