Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center Student Spotlight – Sirui Mi
Sirui Mi is originally from China. She has a master’s degree in sociology and past experiences in social work. She discovered her passion for community nutrition when she worked for the non-profit sector in China.
Mi is currently a practicum student for the Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center and will start her graduate program in Food Science and Human Nutrition in the fall. After completing her M.S. degree, she plans to become a registered dietitian nutritionist. She would like to serve the disadvantaged population and provide nutrition education to limited-resource audiences.
Mi says she cannot pick a single favorite moment while working in the KRNC as she has gained so many positive experiences. “Working in the KRNC gives me the invaluable opportunity to shadow experienced RDNs and engage with local communities through presentations and cooking demonstrations,” she said. “The KRNC also provides a very inclusive environment. I am honored to be a part of the team.”
The Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center is part of the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition in CSU’s College of Health and Human Sciences.
