The Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center is offering the National Diabetes Prevention Program for the new year. Better your health with this healthy lifestyle program.
Are you worried about your weight and health? Did you know 1 out of 3 adults has pre-diabetes? Undiagnosed and untreated pre-diabetes increases risk for diabetes, heart disease and stroke. If you’re interested in preventing diabetes, join CSU’s Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center for the year-long National Diabetes Prevention Program starting Jan. 16, 2019.
What to expect:
- This successful program includes information, resources and support for improving nutrition, physical activity, stress management and other activities to help you prevent diabetes.
- Cooking class, grocery store tour, group support, CDC-approved curriculum and more!
- Classes meet Wednesdays 5:30-6:30 p.m., starting Jan. 16 in the CSU Health and Medical Center (151 W. Lake Street)
- Weekly meetings for first four months, then bimonthly to monthly meetings for remaining eight months.
