Dean Youngblade: ‘Welcome back, Rams’

To all of our new students and families, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Colorado State University! For our continuing students, and our faculty and staff, welcome back – we’ve missed you! We are excited to kick off the new academic year.

While COVID-19 has brought many disruptions, it hasn’t diminished our Ram spirit and Ram pride. Even though this fall will look different than we are used to, by working and learning together, I am certain that it will be no less excellent.

With a commitment to equity and inclusion, the College of Health and Human Sciences is focused on improving the health and well-being of people, their environments, and the communities in which they live. What unites our diverse disciplines is our commitment to improving human well-being. Our students are challenged to think, to create, to innovate, and to consider the potential impact they can make, not only in their own lives, but also in the lives of others.

Our mission also extends to outstanding research and outreach. Our faculty study interventions that address disparities in health and well-being and conduct work that promotes educational and social opportunity. Despite all the challenges around COVID-19, we are committed to continuing our innovative research and discovery to make a difference – and together we will.

Whether we are in person or in a virtual space, our commitment to all of you remains the same: to offer a world-class education and to work together to discover solutions to some of the world’s most pressing problems.

So stay strong, have an amazing semester, and Go Rams!
