Throughout the year, students enrolled at Colorado State University are invited to participate in a variety of events that recognizes and honors their achievements, and showcases what they have learned as a result of their scholarly research, scientific inquiry, and/or creative endeavors.
Among the most visible is CURC, the annual Celebrate Undergraduate Research and Creativity Showcase held each April. Culminating in an awards ceremony that recognizes all participants and honors award winners from events through the year, this juried showcase features outstanding performers from every discipline.
Representing the Department of Construction Management at CURC this year, were seniors, Weston Sobotka, and Rupal Vaidya. Both students presented research posters. Sobotka presented, “Bamboo Construction in the Tropical Regions,” while Vaidya exhibited the “Life Cycle Analysis of Wastewater Management for Living Building Challenge (LBC) in Colorado.”
The Department of Construction Management is part of CSU’s College of Health and Human Sciences.
